Midnight African Star

I fell in love with Star Patterns and African-inspired fabric. The stars have always fascinated me as I look to the heavens for help and inspiration. This eight-pointed star pattern is not an easy design to cut or sew. Precision is extremely important as any inaccuracy in cutting or piecing is multiplied as pieces are added. If poorly pieced, the quilt will not lie flat when finished. I created this intricate star pattern as a test of my needlework skills.
